Bealtaine (A4 Fine Art Prints)
Lá Bealtaine and the arrival of the swallows both serve as markers for the tentative beginning of summer in Ireland, and the festival was (and in parts of the country, still is) often associated with bonfires to welcome in the new season. At a time when cattle were being sent out to pasture once more, custom sometimes dictated that they would be driven between two bonfires to protect them for the year ahead - “idir dhá thine Bealtaine”.
Framed image is for illustrative purposes only - all prints are supplied unframed.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm heavy textured paper with a white border, printed in Ireland and shipped in eco-friendly packaging sourced from sustainable Irish wholesalers.
Hahnemühle German Etching paper is a traditional mould-made copperplate printing paper, complete with an giclée coating. The white art paper made from 100% alpha cellulose is characterised by its extraordinary velvety tactile feel and its fine, clearly defined felt structure. It is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most exacting requirements in terms of age resistance.
