Púca (A4 and A3 Fine Art Prints - Hand Finished)

from €45.00

The púca is a shapeshifting creature from Irish folklore, often associated with rural areas and harvest-time. Wild, black horses with flowing manes and flaming eyes were the most common form of these mischievous creatures, but they could also take the form of goats, cats, foxes, wolves, and many other animals, or take a human form with some of their animal characteristics intact, e.g. their ears. They can bring good luck or bad, depending on their inclination.
